The brief

D1 was another project I completed whilst in the employ of i4U. The Sunland Group, a high profile development company needed an online presence for their latest development, D1. The D1 Tower in Dubai is the sister tower of the Q1 on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The D1 Tower is designed to fuse rich Middle Eastern design and culture with the modern technology and detail.

When approaching the D1 website, I had to pay close attention to detail and style guides established by existing D1 media. In traditional Arabic culture there is a heavy use of gold also mimicked in the D1 design. Simple, clean lines and white space helped create a sense of space whilst keeping the design within the confines of the common screen resolution.

Extras

I wanted this website to be more imaginative with its navigational naming. The choice of words as menu headings would help strengthen the themes of elegance and sophistication. I have used similar naming conventions for most of the Sunland Group’s website I designed.
