The brief

This body of work was produced whilst I was employed by i4U. Susie came to us wanting an online shopping cart and website to showcase her unique fabrics. Throughout our design discussions we explored the use of the colours ‘salmon pink’, ‘leafy green’ and ‘raspberry.’ We also discussed the use of circles and lifestyle images that would demonstrate the variety of ways the fabrics could be used. Throughout our discussions, I stressed the importance of strong logo designs and cohesive branding.

During the logo concept development process, it became apparent that the leafy green would not be suitable so I suggested a complimentary light grey.  I presented Susie with a variety of design ideas that were further refined before Susie settled upon her chosen logo.

Extras

The use of circles was used throughout the “I just love that Fabric” branding. Circular die-cut business cards were originally intended but, due to budgetary constraints, we settled upon square business cards.  Brand identity is emphasized throughout the site with the repetition of the logo and the phrase “I just love.” The repetition enforced the business name and also added personality to the website.
