The brief
Again, I designed this website whilst working for i4U. The team at Privileged came to i4U wanting to rebrand their logo and website design. They desired a highly professional and polished look for both their logo and website since their dating site functions exclusively for high profile and high-income singles. The design’s impressions were crucial. The site had to look expensive, exclusive, alluring and most importantly, trustworthy.
The client wanted the logo to portray lasting lifetime relationships. I experimented with rings symbolizing marriage, the infinity symbol and other concepts whilst adhering to the brief. I tested a range of fonts to achieve a sense of elegance and exclusivity.
Once the logo was chosen, I proceeded with the website design. The client had chosen a colour scheme of bronze, gold and lime green that she had seen in a 'Covet' perfume advertisement. This was incorporated into the tab navigation, buttons and borders. Textures and patterns were incorporated to give a sense of depth. Imagery which included lime green was chosen to strengthen the brand colours and add personality to the website.
The layout of the website relied heavily on the functionality and, since the website was a dating service, it needed to appeal to a wide variety of age groups. Ease of navigation was also an important factor in the design concept.
