The brief

This website was created whilst I was employed with i4U. The Vet Shed, a very well established online shopping cart, came to i4U seeking both a better system and a more up-to-date design. The fun and colourful appearance had to be carried across to the new website. As there were hundred of pet products available, the layout and navigation needed to be changed to make the website more user friendly. The amount of categories and additional features such as a currency converter, search, reviews and login panels made designing the website a mammoth task.

I created a paw print icon system for the product categories to give them personality. The supplied logo included a vast array of colours, these were utilized in the website colour palette to tie the logo into the design. I also colour coded various areas to make them bright, colourful and friendly. The paw print background supports the branding and creates a neutral backdrop for the colours to ‘pop’.
